The Thornbury Water Treatment Plant draws water from an intake in Georgian Bay, situated half a kilometer offshore at a depth of 35 feet below the surface. The water undergoes multiple rigorous treatment processes, including chlorination at the intake, advanced membrane filtration, and ultraviolet disinfection. These methods ensure the water meets high safety and quality standards.
